Real VR Fishing Halloween Event 2025: A Guide to Hunter Mode, Bosses, & Rewards
The Real VR Fishing Halloween event is back, and this year, it’s about more than just fishing. From October 15th to November 5th, the waters are haunted by monsters, bosses, and a ton of exclusive rewards.
If you’re jumping in from my video, here’s a quick, scannable guide to everything you need to know.
How the 2025 Halloween Event Works

This year’s event is split across two new maps and two different modes.
New Maps:
- Pumpkin Hunter Map
- Demon Hunter Map
For each map, you can choose how you want to play:
- Real Mode: The classic, relaxing Real VR Fishing experience. No monsters, just pure fishing.
- Hunter Mode: The main event. This is a fantasy mode where you’ll fight monsters and challenge epic bosses to earn rewards.
A quick note: All the new and returning Halloween fish can be caught in both modes, but the exclusive rewards (rods and reels) can only be earned in Hunter Mode.
Hunter Mode: How to Fight Monsters & Bosses
This is where the real action is. In Hunter Mode, you’ll have to fight off monsters by swinging your fishing rod or using the new Electric Gun and Soda Gun.
The main goal of Hunter Mode is to defeat monsters to earn a shot at the bosses, which unlock the best prizes.
Boss Battles (October 29 – November 5)
After you’ve defeated enough monsters, the bosses will appear. Your reward is based on how many monsters you defeat:
- Fewer than 300 monsters defeated: You can fight the Mini Boss to earn 2 sets of Halloween Rods & Reels (Pumpkin / Demon).
- 300+ monsters defeated: You can fight both the Mini Boss & the Big Boss to earn all 4 sets, including the Special Halloween Rods & Reels.
What Can You Catch?

Even if you’re just fishing in Real Mode, there are plenty of new creatures to find:
- 6 all-new Halloween fish species
- Returning Fan Favorites:
- Zombie Shark
- Haunted Goblin Shark
- Zombie Mako Shark
My Pro Tip for This Event
When monsters are spawning, focus all attention on them. They come fast and strong, so make sure you are not wasting time fishing when defeating them. You can typically get around 40 kills per 5 minute spawn period, so keep switching between the two maps, defeat enemies, and catch your event fish in the meantime!
Final Verdict
This is an awesome update that adds a ton of action to a relaxing classic. If you want the exclusive, beautifully designed Halloween rods and reels, you must jump into Hunter Mode and start battling. Good luck, and happy hunting!
