Watch Out For

Gen 1 vs. Gen 2: the original Ray-Ban Meta is still sold in many places — confirm the listing says Gen 2 (Wayfarer Gen 2) before you buy.
Frame and lens combos: polarized, Transitions, and prescription lenses change the price significantly — compare the same configuration across retailers.
Gray-market sellers: on Amazon and eBay, stick to listings sold and shipped by Amazon (or buy from Meta direct) — unauthorized sellers can mean no valid warranty.
Too-cheap listings: a new Gen 2 listed far below $379 is almost certainly a scam or a used pair being sold as new.
Refurbished vs. new: confirm any discounted pair is actually new or covered by a warranty — do not pay new prices for a used pair.
