PowerWash Simulator VR Review: Still Worth it in 2026?
Powerwash Simulator went viral for being one of the most satisfying games of all time, and it’s even better in Virtual Reality. When I first heard of the game, I thought, “Who could want a cleaning simulator in VR?” However, this easily became one of my all-time favorites when I discovered it back in 2023.
Is one of Meta Quest 3’s most relaxing games still worth it in 2026? Let’s dive into our full PowerWash Simulator VR review to find out.
The Core Experience: Gameplay & Mechanics
After playing the Virtual Reality version and the flat version of the game, I couldn’t help but notice just how different they feel. Although they are ultimately the same game with the same mechanics, the VR implementation here is incredible. No having to deal with angling your hose like in the flat game, which was one of my least favorite parts. Here, you are in VR, so you simply need to see where you want to spray and clean away. The VR tool belt mechanics are also surprisingly intuitive. Instead of stumbling through layers of menus to get your soaps, hose nozzles, and other tools, you can just look down at your tool belt and grab what you need. All in all, I love that Futurlab didn’t take any shortcuts here; it’s the full game with full VR immersion, no “press to complete”; you have full control.
PowerWash Simulator VR’s co-op mode is what truly shines. The game is 100% playable with friends, making it one of Meta Quest’s best multiplayer games. As we all know, lots of Meta Quest games feel like glorified demos, but this is the full game, no sacrifices.

What Doesn’t?
Visuals & Performance: The Downgrade Reality
Visuals remain one of the biggest compromises on standalone VR headsets. Although the Quest 3 optimization here makes this game run like a charm, we have to face reality that its never going to be quite as crisp as the flat screen game. Running the game in VR on a mobile chipset does lead to some blurry textures, however, I am honestly quite impressed with the final product here. Although it doesn’t look quite as good as the flat screen game, it still keeps its charming artstyle that makes up for a lot of the visual downgrade. Powerwash Simulator VR’s Quest 3 graphics are not the most impressive on the market, but they are definitely not bad.
The Final Verdict
Although the game no longer has developer support, and the last few DLCs never released on Meta Quest, it’s still a full game experience with satisyfing gameplay, an impressive amount of content, and a co-op mode that should keep bringing you and your friends back for more.
Is PowerWash Simulator VR worth it? Absolutely. It remains one of my favorite Meta Quest 3 games in 2026. Is it perfect? No, but it honestly doesn’t have to be. It’s satisfying, casual, and tons of fun.
